Sherril and Julian stayed with us last week and Mark took the week off work to entertain them. We picked them up from Cairns on Sunday and stopped off at the Croc farm on the way home. Unfortunately I didn't have the camera with me so I can't show you any photos.
MONDAY
We went to Mossman where Mark and I sorted out our licenses. Can you believe they only do licenses one day a week. We hadn't been able to get there on a Monday since we arrived. The upside here is that my license photo no longer has a hangover shot on it (though I was hungover when this one was taken too) and I now look like a thug instead. Mark has also booked me in for my license test on the 15th of January. From the Mossman police station it was off to Daintree village which didn't disappoint. It was still a flop.
TUESDAY
Tuesday was a big day for me ... mail day. With all my eBaying every Tuesday and Friday is just like Christmas. This Tuesday though saw the delivery of my Vaio and new kitchen tap. It was almost too exciting really. After we got all that out of the way we went to the Daintree Discovery Centre. All up it was something you need to be able to say you've done when you're here but it wasn't really very inspiring. Once we were done we shot off to Cape Tribulation to have lunch and suss out where the boat was leaving from for our reef trip. The drive between Cow Bay and Cape Tribulation is breathtaking and I managed to get some great shots.

As well as this one just for a laugh
THURSDAY
Skyrail Day. Been there done that. It was still fun the second time around but at the end it just wasn't anything new. Best part was lunch at the pub after we got to Kuranda.
I got some great shots of Barron Falls on the way up though.

THURSDAY
Reef Day and by far the best day of the week. We decided to go with a local operator from Cape Tribulation instead of one of the big ones from Port Douglas. I got off the boat with a sunburned scalp and blistered toes from the flippers but I still just want to do it again. I used up two disposable underwater cameras out on the reef but unfortunately most of the shots were crap. Here's the best of them.
