After puppy school on Sunday morning it was off to Port Douglas to collect her from her hotel. On the way home I sat in the back with the kids covered in a towel as they now have the charming ability to vomit every time they get in the car. Somehow I managed to escape the ride unscathed ... which is really quite amazing as we now call Sylvester Chuckapup.
Once home the beer and bubbles were flowing from lunchtime and the BBQ was fired up yet again. In total, the carnage extended to three bottles of bubbles, 2 bottles of wine and a dozen beers ... mostly consumed by Mark in a brave, selfless act to save us from monstrous hangovers. Didn't quite work for me anyway but comparitively I was good on Monday morning compared to Mark.
Note to self ... out of Panadol ... AGAIN!!!
Once sufficiently recovered it was now off to Mossman Gorge. Mark had managed to perk up a bit by then.

The beauty of this place was the clincher in convincing us to move up here so it was really good fun to share it with someone else. The impact was almost minimal though as it's fairly dry up here now and the rainforests only really spring to life when it's wet. Bugger!!!

The top picture shows you what is was like in May 2005 while the bottom one is now. This is the same stretch of river but you'd never know looking at these.
It's back to the grind today for Mark but I'm taking it easy as I've hurt my hip and I'm walking around with a limp like Quasimodo. I hope it eases up soon as even just moving from the bed to the lounge is almost like a marathon for normal people as the house is so big. Anyone know where I can get a cheap motorised wheelchair? Backyard hip replacement perhaps?
Finally just because I can ... yet another gratuitous puppy photo. At the start of last week he was about 17.5 kgs so he must be at least 18.5 for this photo.
