It's Thursday and our first full day in the house. We started out with the domestics. Mark started doing laundry while I switched the generator to auto-start and checked how much diesel we had in the tank. After that I said goodbye to Mark while he took off to collect the kids. I checked the mail and our neighbour, the lovely Prue (who is also the real estate agent we bought the house from) invited me over for a coffee. It was fun catching up but I had to go home as we had slipped into the timezone for the Telstra tech. You know, the wonderful 10-2 appointment slot which effectively means you can't leave home all day. We ended up getting our two extra phone lines as well as the sattelite internet service (which is how I'm doing this). The satellite people were not the Telstra people. We now have this on our roof.
The sattelite dish is not the news of the day though. Neither is my almost completing the painting of our first room. Allow me to introduce the two newest members of the family, Sylvester and Daphne. He likes to chew, she likes to fart, they both snore and also somehow manage to pee twice their fluid intake.
Apart from that they are utterly gorgeous and we love them dearly.
